Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwestern). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Riverdale Chieftains 87-35. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 35 points or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Southwestern, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. As for Riverdale, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern and Black Hawk will compete for holiday cheer at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Riverdale will take on North Crawford in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Crawford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
