The Renaissance Academy Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Renaissance Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to Bristol. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Renaissance Academy in their matchups with Bristol: they've now lost three in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Nico Villa, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Ed Breazeale IV was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 48-43 to Collegium Charter.
Renaissance Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Renaissance Academy couldn't quite finish off Calvary Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 51-49. Can Renaissance Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
