The South Broward Bulldogs will head out on the road to  face off against  the Piper Bengals  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. South Broward has given up an average of 28.9  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

 Despite the  loss, South Broward saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Steven Wright rushed for 170 yards and one  touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 194 yards and three  TDs. Those 170  rushing yards set a new season-high mark for  Wright.
Meanwhile,  after a string of four wins, Piper's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They took  a  41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monarch. While the Bengals had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Knights  19-6.
 South Broward will have to contain  Jahnard Young as he made an impact in Piper's last game. He rushed for 191 yards and three  scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Young showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 62 yards.
 South Broward's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Piper, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. South Broward has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 175  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Piper struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 173.4  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 South Broward took a serious blow against Piper  in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024, falling  49-14.
