Trinity Classical Academy took down Milken 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dakota Prochnow threw for 86 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 28 yards in the win.
Faith Baptist made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 234 from 294. The advance stemmed from a 50-40 victory over Lancaster Baptist last week.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matt McDaniel threw for 331 and two touchdowns and Seth Hanna had 126 yards receiving. On the ground Blake Kelly chipped in 66 yards. Aaron Blaszczyk helped Lancaster Baptist's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 102 yards.
Kelly made the biggest impact on defense this week as Lancaster Baptist fell to the Contenders. The 5-foot-10 junior forced two fumbles and recorded one fumble.
Lancaster Baptist's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McDaniel has thrown for 1114 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Josue Aguirre has 12 catches for 388 yards. Kelly leads the league in rushing with 549 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Knights and Faith Baptist. Trinity Classical Academy enters the contest ranked ninth in the state, while John Rasmussen's team ranks 13th.
Mike Buchanan's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on the Wildcats. Prochnow in the win.
