D1 District 2 (8 Man) recap October 1, 2013
Howells-Dodge extended the longest winning streak in D1 District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Cedar Bluffs, 64-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Jaguars.
Omaha Christian Academy lost to Guardian Angels Central Catholic 62-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dalton Daeges ran for 133 yards in the loss.
Howells-Dodge's dynamic duo of Casey Wisnieski and Ben Kuehn proved to be unstoppable against the Wildcats, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wisnieski threw for 33 yards and Kuehn had 33 yards receiving.
Daeges was a key player and the best on defense this week as Omaha Christian Academy fell to the Bluejays. The 6-foot-1 senior grabbed 2.0 sacks.

Cedar Bluffs' Maverick Sukstorf and Austin Conklin have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sukstorf has thrown for 525 yards this season, while Conklin has 16 catches for 289 yards. Daeges from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 444 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Clarkson/Leigh takes on Dave Ridder's team. The Patriots' offense has racked up 198 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Bluejays have allowed only 37 on the year.
