The Waterbury Career Academy Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They blew past Derby 76-28 at home. Waterbury Career Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  matches by 21  points or more this season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waterbury Career Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sierra Brown, who  scored 18 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kendra Cameron, who  scored 11 points along with six  blocks and five  assists.
 The  win was  the third in a row for Waterbury Career Academy, bringing their record for this year to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Derby, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with that  defeat, which was their 17th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Waterbury Career Academy will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Torrington at 7:00  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Connecticut (Torrington is ranked 62nd, while Waterbury Career Academy is ranked 61st). As for Derby, they will head out on the road to  take on  Wolcott at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
