The Halifax Academy Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Calvary Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Halifax Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Calvary Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Halifax Academy beat University 60-54. Given Halifax Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while University is ranked 668th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Taylor on Monday, taking the game 60-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Calvary Christian Academy.
Halifax Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Halifax Academy took their win against Calvary Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 57-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Halifax Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
