The Key West Conchs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the iMater Charter Knights at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Key West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday.
While Key West couldn't quite beat Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on Wednesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 24-point loss they were dealt on Saturday. Key West fell just short of Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Key West's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tramane Scott, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Kameron Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, iMater Charter put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mater Brickell Academy as iMater Charter made off with a 64-40 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for iMater Charter.
Key West's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-8. As for iMater Charter, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
