This season hasn't been kind to the Griffin Academy Griffins, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-38 walloping at the hands of John Henry on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Griffin Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ashton Bonifaco scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bonifaco has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaedan Laie, who scored ten points.
Griffin Academy dropped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for John Henry, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.
Griffin Academy and the Griffins will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mare Island Tech Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. John Henry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
