After two games on the road, California City is heading back home. They will take on the Kern Valley Broncs at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 California City struggled with  offensive rebounds on Friday (Mammoth had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. California City fell  50-37 to Mammoth.
 Despite the  loss, California City had strong showings from  Carlito Brown, who  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals, and  Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown, who  scored nine points along with four  blocks. Brown also  posted two  blocks for the first time this season.  Darrius Brown was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Meanwhile,  it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  75-48, which was the final score in Kern Valley's tilt against Rosamond on Tuesday. Kern Valley has struggled against Rosamond recently, as their  contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 California City's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Kern Valley, their defeat was  their sixth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 6-13.
 California City was able to grind out a solid  victory over Kern Valley in their previous matchup  back in January, winning  54-41. Will California City repeat their success,  or does  Kern Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
