The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Friday Bishop LeBlond will take on North Platte at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
Bishop LeBlond were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against Cameron last Friday. It was close but no cigar for Bishop LeBlond as they fell 35-37 to Cameron. On a positive note, senior Frankie Gall put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for 311 yards and 4 touchdowns. Gall has now scored at least one touchdown in the past nine games.
Meanwhile, North Platte have been struggling to pick up a win, with their game against Penney making it three winless games in a row. North Platte fell just short of Penney by a score of 24-26.
Having both suffered close losses, both of these teams will no doubt be fighting for every inch to win this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
