After three games on the road, College Park is heading back home. They will take on the Foothill Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but College Park ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Mt. Diablo 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
College Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Wray, who scored 13 points. Mathys Joseph was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Foothill is still undefeated this season after their game against Mt. Eden on Tuesday, but Mt. Eden came as close as anyone has to beating them. Foothill had just enough and edged Mt. Eden out 55-53. Given Foothill's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Mt. Eden is ranked 1080th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
College Park's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Foothill, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record.
