BENES Came Up Big in Boone Central's 26-20 Loss
Starting off the list is Boone Central's BROGAN BENES, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. BENES rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.

Cody Kuszak Has Career-Day on Friday
On Friday, St. Paul got the W thanks in part to Cody Kuszak playing the best football he has all season. Kuszak rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
On the year, Kuszak has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 91.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Ord picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Haydin Nelson. Nelson was unstoppable, rushing for 102 yards and three touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Ord's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
Ord is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Nelson will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Norfolk Catholic on Friday.
