Gilmour Academy owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in March.

Gilmour Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilmour Academy will face off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they will square off against Elyria Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
