The Lehman Catholic Cavaliers will be taking part in a tournament against the Botkins Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lehman Catholic had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Northridge on Thursday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Polar Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cavaliers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lehman Catholic was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-10.

Lehman Catholic better focus on containing Kambree Walters and Brynnan Paul as the pair were huge in Botkins' win. Walters had 19 digs and one assist, while Paul had 17 digs. Those 17 digs gave Paul a new career-high. Aspen Brown also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's contest: Lehman Catholic has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Botkins struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Lehman Catholic's way against Botkins in their previous meeting back in October of 2018, as Lehman Catholic made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
