Sierra Canyon is a perfect 4-0 against Chaminade since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trailblazers will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Chaminade will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Sierra Canyon extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Trailblazers blew past Serra, posting a 30-0 victory. The 30-point effort marked the Trailblazers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sierra Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Havon Finney Jr. and Myles Baker. Finney Jr. is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another thorn in Serra's side was Patrick Hill, who made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Special teams played a big role in the game for Sierra Canyon, adding 12 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Carter Sobel: he added nine points with three field goals and another three kicking extra points.
Meanwhile, Chaminade won against Cathedral back in September with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Eagles blew past Bishop Amat 35-0. That looming 35-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.
Chaminade's win came from a few key players Sierra Canyon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cameron Pooley, who threw for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt. His passing game has become a key predictor of Chaminade's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Sebastian Seib helped Pooley out on the ground, picking up 30 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 46 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chaminade's defense and their 4.5 sacks. Kingston Williams was especially locked on to Bishop Amat's QB and sacked him twice. Chaminade got some further help from Michael Bonnet: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Sierra Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Chaminade, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Sierra Canyon has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 178 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Chaminade struggles in that department as they've been averaging 158.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Sierra Canyon against Chaminade in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-3 victory. Do the Trailblazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
