Basketball Game Preview: St. Johns Country Day Spartans vs. Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors

Having just played yesterday, the St. Johns Country Day Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Johns Country Day has five straight wins, Trinity Christian Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, St. Johns Country Day was able to grind out a solid victory over Middleburg, taking the game 54-43.

Kendall Proffitt was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Mejias, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Old Plank Christian Academy, falling 39-17.

St. Johns Country Day's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for St. Johns Country Day against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 67-20 victory. In that contest, St. Johns Country Day amassed a halftime lead of 49-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
