The Santa Anna Mountaineers will head out on the road to face off against the Blanket Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Santa Anna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Santa Anna lost to Cross Plains at home by a decisive 51-37 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dakota Donham, who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Otillio Padilla, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Blanket didn't have too much trouble with Gustine on the road on Saturday as they won 47-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for Blanket.
Santa Anna now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Blanket, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Santa Anna suffered a grim 57-31 defeat to Blanket when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Thankfully for Santa Anna, Tyler Simpson (who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 18 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
