The Basha Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Hamilton Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Basha has four straight wins, Hamilton has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Basha had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Corona del Sol on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Aztecs. Considering the Bears have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kylee Duffy looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Makaila Quinney, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bella Cadena, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Basha always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corona del Sol only posted an OBP of .375.
Meanwhile, in Thursday's Canine Competition, Hamilton had to take the L. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chandler on Thursday.
Makenzie Lacquement made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Taylor Hampton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Basha, their record now sits at 14-3-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Basha hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Basha suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Hamilton in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
