If the Southampton Academy Raiders were feeling good off their 39-15 takedown of the Amelia Academy Patriots last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Southampton Academy took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Monday. Southampton Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Charlie Potter was a one-man wrecking crew for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot as she scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Potter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Poore, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Southampton Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-12.
Southampton Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
