Springboro (Ohio) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 20-7 victory over
Xenia (Ohio) on Saturday.
The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Panthers took the lead for good on a touchdown run by
Rahman Hardin with 9:00 left in the third quarter.
Springboro's most effective player was Hardin. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
The Buccaneers' lone touchdown came on a run in the first quarter.
SHS had given up an average of 11.6 points prior to the contest.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 38-27 win for the Panthers.
The loss comes after Xenia defeated West Carrollton 55-27 last week.
Springboro (9-0) goes up against Lebanon in a Greater Western Ohio - South game matchup next week, while Xenia (5-4) locks horns with Fairborn also in a Greater Western Ohio - South game.
