West Branch has gone 7-1 against Carrollton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. West Branch will be playing at home against Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. West Branch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
West Branch's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Marlington. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three games in a row.
Klary McKay made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sara Schmidt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Zoe Metzgar was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carrollton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-11 margin over Salem on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Laiken Spilker and Juliaunna Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Spilker went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Miller went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Pittman, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Carrollton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. West Branch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Carrollton struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Branch took their win against Carrollton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will West Branch repeat their success, or does Carrollton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
