The home team had won the previous three meetings between Capital and Riverside, and Capital kept the tradition alive. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Warriors on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

While Capital won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Riana Berkley was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Capital back to even at 2-2-1. As for Riverside, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Capital and Riverside will both be playing George Washington the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 8:30 p.m.
