The Mount Miguel Matadors stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 74-47 victory over El Cajon Valley at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mount Miguel.
Mount Miguel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mekhi Sydney led the charge by scoring 25 points along with four steals. Sydney is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 23 or more in the last three games he's played. Vincent Jones was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five steals.
Mount Miguel is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for El Cajon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-14.
