Leland's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the West Bolivar Eagles with a sharp 23-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won five matches by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Leland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for West Bolivar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leland beat the Eagles by a score of 21-4 later that day.
