Loogootee is 0-3 against the Stars since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Loogootee Lions will be playing at home against the Bedford North Lawrence Stars at 7:30 p.m.
While Loogootee couldn't quite beat the Bulldogs on Thursday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 21-point defeat they were dealt last Saturday. Loogootee fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 35-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Loogootee has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bedford North Lawrence earned a 50-38 win over the Athenians on Saturday. Given Bedford North Lawrence's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Athenians are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Loogootee has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Bedford North Lawrence, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Loogootee couldn't quite finish off the Stars when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 55-53. Will Loogootee have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
