The Viewmont Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 77-51 defeat to Olympus might stick with them for a while. Viewmont has struggled against Olympus recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Viewmont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Weaver, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Drez Jensen, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Viewmont's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Olympus, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Viewmont will head out on the road to face off against Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Roy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. Olympus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Layton at 7:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Layton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
