On Saturday, University School blew past Garrett Morgan, posting a 63-31 victory on the road. The win was just what University School needed coming off of a 82-38 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Norwayne waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over Dalton. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Norwayne has scored all year.
Parker Metsker was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Braden West, who scored 16 points.
University School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Norwayne, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.
University School might still be hurting after the 74-54 defeat they got from Norwayne in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for University School, Ethan Hann (who scored 34 points along with four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
