The North Muskegon Norsemen and the Menominee Maroons squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the North Muskegon Norsemen had to settle for second. North Muskegon took a 32-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Menominee. North Muskegon's loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Menominee's defense and their six sacks. Landan Bardowski was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself.
North Muskegon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Menominee, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
North Muskegon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Menominee will face off against Lumen Christi Catholic at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Lumen Christi Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
