Tharptown has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Mars Hill Bible Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tharptown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Mars Hill Bible is ranked 83rd).
Last Friday, Tharptown came up short against Hatton and fell 52-42.
Meanwhile, Mars Hill Bible waltzed into their contest Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 60-47 win over Brooks.
Among those leading the charge was Eli Pounders, who scored 21 points.
Tharptown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mars Hill Bible, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Things could have been worse for Tharptown, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-45 loss to Mars Hill Bible when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Can Tharptown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
