The Columbus Grove Bulldogs extended their postseason success on Friday against the Bluffton Pirates. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 17-10. The win was nothing new for Columbus Grove as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Trenton Barraza was his usual excellent self, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Barraza has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played. Landon Best and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Columbus Grove's win.
Columbus Grove's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Bluffton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 12-2.
Columbus Grove is on the road again on Friday and play against Versailles at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Versailles presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Columbus Grove in Ohio (Versailles is ranked 27th, while Columbus Grove is ranked 98th). Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
