Ord lost to Gothenburg 43-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nick Valla was a bright spot for the Chanticleers, as he ran for 66 yards in the defeat.
Ord's dynamic duo of Trevor Fahrenholz and Kamron Dawe proved to be unstoppable against the Swedes, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fahrenholz threw for 96 yards and Dawe had 48 yards receiving. Eli Hill helped Ord's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 48 yards.
Max Magiera was a key player and the best on defense this week as Mark Hagge's team lost to Gothenburg. He forced 1 fumble.
David Fox was a passing and rushing force as the Eagles lost to Broken Bow.
On the heels of Charley Burtwistle and Fox, O'Neill has had great success on offense. Burtwistle leads the league in passing with 684 yards, while Fox has rushed for 676 yards this season. The Chanticleers' Hill leads the league in receiving yards with 238 on 24 catches.
Next week's game between Brock Eichelberger's team and Ord will feature a good passing match up as Burtwistle will test his arm against Fahrenholz's defensive ability.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ainsworth takes on Mike Garner's team. The Bulldogs are in fifth place, while the Indians are in first place.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Eagles and the Chanticleers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, O'Neill comes in having scored 153 this season, while Ord has scored 127. The Eagles scored 14 points last week as they fell to Broken Bow.
