The Dysart Demons can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Tempe 89-52 at home. Winning may never get old, but Dysart sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Dysart had a senior duo take command as Nate Morales scored 20 points along with three steals and Nigel Anderson scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Zane Connelly was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Tempe lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nassir Cobbs. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with two steals. Cobbs hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Irizarry-Navarro, who scored nine points.
Dysart pushed their record up to 18-3 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.83 points. As for Tempe, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dysart will take on Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apache Junction has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5. As for Tempe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cortez knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Tempe likes a good challenge.
