The Vintage Crushers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 50-40 victory over Napa on Tuesday. For Vintage, this counts as revenge for the 47-43 defeat the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Vintage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Gongora led the charge by scoring 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gongora has scored all season. Miles Macpherson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Napa lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eli Mindle, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Quintana, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Vintage's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Napa, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vintage will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. American Canyon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Crushers in California (the Wolves are ranked 205th, while the Crushers are ranked 512th). As for Napa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
