Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Park's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Evergreen Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Providence Catholic Celtics.

While Evergreen Park was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23.

Fionn Doherty paced Evergreen Park's offense, picking up six kills. Doherty got some help from Michael Bruno and his nine assists. Finally, Connor Gallagher kept Evergreen Park's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Evergreen Park's loss dropped their record down to 11-21. As for Providence Catholic, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evergreen Park will host Lemont at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Catholic, they will welcome Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
