The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southern, who took down 93rd ranked Glen Burnie, 35-0. Dejuan Neal ran for 167 yards in the win.
The Bulldogs moved up to 120 from 147 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Anne Arundel County. Southern climbed the ranks as a result of a 35-0 win over the Gophers.
Chesapeake's dynamic duo of Brandon Blanchard and Aaron Terry proved tough for Northeast to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Blanchard threw for 98 yards and one touchdown and Terry had 55 yards receiving. Seth Fisher helped Chesapeake's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
Carrington Contee made the biggest impact on defense this week as Russell Meyers's team topped Glen Burnie. The 5-foot-5 junior pulled down one interception and recorded two fumbles.
The Cougars' Blanchard and Terry have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Blanchard has thrown for 571 yards this season, while Terry, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 23 catches for 312 yards. The Bulldogs' Neal leads the league in rushing yards with 582.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Old Mill and Arundel. The Patriots enters the contest ranked eighth in the state, while the Wildcats ranks seventh.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Old Mill takes on Arundel. Chad McCormick's team has allowed 39 points this season, while Chuck Markiewicz's team has given up 40. The Patriots allowed 18 points last week as they defeated Meade.
Old Mill extended the longest winning streak in Anne Arundel County this week by beating the Mustangs, 28-18. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
