Last Saturday, Meridian strolled past Neoga with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. The victory was just what Meridian needed coming off of a 70-49 loss in their prior contest.
Meridian had a senior duo take command as Lleyton Miller scored 16 points along with four steals and Sebastian Hill dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paul Ralston, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Shelbyville unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dieterich.
Meridian's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Shelbyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-6.
