Pilot Point is 3-0 against Peaster since September of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pilot Point Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Peaster Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. Pilot Point is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Last Friday, Pilot Point was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 27-21 to Boyd.
Despite the defeat, Pilot Point got a solid performance out of Aiden Hamblin, who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Peaster can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Ponder 34-0 at home. The victory was just what Peaster needed coming off of a 38-7 defeat in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Ty Steedley, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 103 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Albert and his 85 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Peaster's victory.
Boyd's win bumped their season record to 1-8 while Pilot Point's defeat dropped theirs to 0-8.
Everything went Pilot Point's way against Peaster when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as Pilot Point made off with a 32-6 win. Will Pilot Point repeat their success, or does Peaster have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
