The Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Cross County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend will be strutting in after a victory while Cross County will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Exeter-Milligan/Friend strolled past Diller-Odell with points to spare, taking the game 51-35.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Cross County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost to Auburn on the road by a decisive 68-50 margin. While losing is never fun, Cross County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Auburn is ranked eighth).
Despite the defeat, Cross County had strong showings from Tanner Hollinger, who scored 18 points along with two steals, and Ashton Seim, who scored 13 points.
Cross County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Exeter-Milligan/Friend's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Cross County, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.
