Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers on the road by a 61-45 margin. One positive for Berean Christian, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Clayton-Bradley Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Adkins, who posted 27 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Adkins is becoming a predictor of Clayton-Bradley Academy's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when she doesn't). Emma Bault was another key player, putting up 14 points along with six assists and five boards.

Berean Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, their record is now 3-4.

Berean Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Clayton-Bradley Academy will take on Temple Baptist Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
