D West recap November 5, 2013
Winthrop extended the longest winning streak in D West this week by beating Telstar, 40-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Oak Hill led the league in scoring this week by notching 41 points on Boothbay.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Lisbon and the Raiders. The Greyhounds enters the contest ranked 20th in the state, while Oak Hill ranks 21st.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Winthrop takes on Dirigo. The Ramblers have allowed 75 points this season, while the Cougars have given up 88.
Lisbon made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,049 from 6,706. The improvement was largely due to a 28-0 victory over Maranacook last week.
