 Chandler Lewis and  Carter Hendrix made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Lewis   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Hendrix   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Lewis  scored a  run while going 1-for-3, while  Hendrix  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Hendrix has become a key player for Cordova: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 8-11 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Caleb Kilpatrick and  Copper Moehlman did most of the damage at the plate:  Kilpatrick  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances, while  Moehlman  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. That's the most  runs  Kilpatrick has posted since back in February.  Daniel Tidwell was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 Cordova  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .640. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tarrant only posted  an  OBP of  .167.
The  win  got Cordova back to even at 11-11. As for Tarrant, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the  defeat, which was their 26th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cordova will venture away from home to  face off against Jasper  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Tarrant, they will head out to  square off against Fultondale  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
