Elyria Catholic put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Harvey Red Raiders 10-0. Considering the Panthers have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kailey Tomasch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
