Florence Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilson Hall apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Florence Christian saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Poston scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Poston scored a full 37.5% of Florence Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Florence Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wilson Hall, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence Christian will take on Dillon Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dillon Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Wilson Hall, they will head out on the road to face off against Carolina Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Carolina Academy is ranked 86th, while Wilson Hall is ranked 61st).
