It was a good run, but Plainview unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Lake View Chiefs 42-37. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Chiefs are ranked 816th).

Among those leading the charge was Joseph Delgado, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Leyva, who earned eight points.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lake View, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Plainview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-48 win against Caprock on the 31st. Lake View has also already played their next matchup, a 62-51 defeat against Odessa on the 28th.
