Amite put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put a hurting on Independence to the tune of 35-0. Amite have a history of success against Independence, winning their last head-to-head 30-0.
The win bumped Amite's record up to 4-1. Independence are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Amite will stay at home next week against Northlake Christian at 7:00 PM. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games. Independence will look to defend their home turf against St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 PM.
