The Prattville Christian Academy Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 49-28 loss at the hands of Trinity Presbyterian. While losing is never fun, Prattville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Trinity Presbyterian is ranked 86th).
Prattville Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tanner Byrd, who threw for 350 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Liam Taylor also helped out as he racked up 103 receiving yards.
Leading Trinity Presbyterian to victory were Ross Sanders and Walker Mcclinton. Sanders rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, while Mcclinton threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns. Trinity Presbyterian also got help from Webber Mcclinton who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Prattville Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Prattville Christian Academy will take on Sumter Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will head out on the road to face off against Greensboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greensboro is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
