McGregor is 0-10 against Cromwell since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The McGregor Mercuries will head out on the road to square off against the Cromwell Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. McGregor is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
McGregor suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Chisholm 84-51. McGregor has struggled against Chisholm recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Cromwell can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They blew past Ogilvie 81-45 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cromwell.
It was another big night for Isabella Anderson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Emaleigh Olesiak was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds.
McGregor's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Cromwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
McGregor took a serious blow against Cromwell in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 77-26. Can McGregor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
