The Mt. Vernon Marauders are taking a road trip to face off against the Center Grove Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mt. Vernon came out on top against Anderson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Marauders blew past the Indians 10-1.
Ameila Anderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Mt. Vernon hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Center Grove struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
