The Wesclin Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Okawville 54-24. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wesclin in their matchups with Okawville: they've now lost seven in a row.
Okawville had a senior duo take command as Alayna Kraus scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and Madisyn Wienstroer scored 13 points. The game was Kraus' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adysen Harre, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Wesclin bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Okawville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Wesclin will be home for the holidays to greet Gibault Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Okawville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nashville at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Nashville will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
